Any task that repeats, such as summing an array, printing a table or reading N inputs, needs a loop. Use for when you know how many times to run, while when you stop on a condition, and do-while when the body must run at least once, as in a menu. An off-by-one bound is the most common loop bug. Nearly every DSA problem is built on loops, so their cost decides your time complexity.
