Sometimes you do not need to finish a loop the normal way. break stops it as soon as you have your answer, like the first negative number in a list. continue skips just the current item, like ignoring blank entries. Both make code shorter, but too many of them make a loop hard to follow, so a clearer loop condition is sometimes the better fix.
