A fresher resume has one job: get you shortlisted in the 10–30 seconds a recruiter spends on it. Keep it to one page and put the strongest proof first.
A good order for an engineering fresher:
Name | phone | email | LinkedIn | GitHub
Education B.Tech CSE, college, year, CGPA (and 10th/12th % if asked)
Skills Languages, frameworks, tools, databases
Projects 2–3 projects, each with stack and 2–3 bullets
Experience Internships (move this above Projects if you have one)
Achievements Contest ranks, hackathons, certifications that matterWhat to leave out:
- A photo, date of birth, religion, father's name or full home address. They take space and say nothing about your skills.
- A long "Objective" like "To work in a challenging environment...". Every resume has it, so it tells the reader nothing.
- School-level hobbies and a list of every online course you started.
Use one clean font, consistent dates, and save it as a PDF named like Priya_Sharma_Resume.pdf.
The classic mistake: stretching to two pages with filler. A recruiter reads the top third. If your best project is on page two, it was never read.
In interviews: the interviewer often opens your resume and asks about whatever they see first. Put things there you can talk about for five minutes.
